i'm making my invites and its gonna cost me a whopping $700 to make them the way i want them to look.. with the rhinestone buckles.. and the metallic paper.. and i'm trying to cut costs as much as possible. and as it turns out it's actually CHEAPER to buy the paper precut than it is to buy 8.5 *11 paper but after i wrap my head around all of this.. and exhale i come to realize that i am making 130 invitations..but would only need 100 invites IF my future mother in law and my mother weren't so busy inviting people that (and i quote) 'they know aren't going to come but i wanna send them an invite anyway!!)


is it terribly tacky of me to ask mom and fmil for how many people they have on their 'they aint gonna come anyway' list.. and send those folks a nice invite from ac moore?

i dont think its tacky if ur sure they are not coming you can send a different ivitation

honestly i would send them the invites that your doing just because you dont actually know if they are going to come or not. We have relatives in cali that we didnt think were going to come and apparently they are planning like a whole vacation around our wedding. So you never know! If you really dont want to send them a nice one, i would maybe order in a couple 'samples' from a place that way they still have a nice invitation but not the super nice one your making!

i'mma get some of those sample ones u mentioned... but our folks aren't folks whom we think aren't going to make it..

i'm referring to folks like my fh's mom's sister who said.. I'M NOT GOING TO COME.. BUT SEND ME AN INVITE ANYWAY...i'mma send these folks an evite and call it a day..

this i have a problem with.. not the folks who are talking bout coming but oops it's snowing.. or oops they got sick...

JMO. But I know I will be sending invites to no-comers too..

thanks guys.. i appreciate the responses... and i understand why i ultimately HAVE to sen everyone the same invite.. cause aunt mary is going to speak to cousin Susan and if cousin susan get rhinestones and sparkles she's gonna mention it to aunt mary.. and blah blah blah. no one will speak to us at hte family reunion...

BUT... it's FUSTRATING!!! lemme go see where i can cut a corner somewhere else...
