I posted this last night on 2 boards and didn't get too much feedback (but thank you to those who did try and help!!), but there seems to be alot of us on today so hopefully I can get more answers!
Do you ladies think that it would look really bad to have my girls wearing all different styles of jewelry? I am sort of hung up on this whole uniformity thing but my MOH is trying to convince me that jewelry is a personal style thing, and it's okay if everyone wears something different. My MOH wants gold jewelry and another of my BMs wants silver. I guess I sort of feel like if they're standing next to each other, silver and gold are gonna clash? I could just be nuts though, I don't know . If anyone has any pics of weddings where the girls all wore their own thing, please post! I feel like if I see it, I will be able to see that it really won't look bad at all. TIA!!!

I think its totally fine for them to wear different jewelery. I know I plan on getting my sister (MOH) something more expensive than the rest of the girls. At the same time, some girls prefer white over yellow gold and vice versa.

I don't feel strongly either way. I do think different would look better if they are at least similar (same style, same color) but then again my girls are all wearing same dress, same color.
However, my girls are picking their own shoes (silver) and wearing their hair however they want so they arent total carbon copies of eachother.
I think I'm going to give them each a necklace for day of as part of their gifts, so they will all match.

Its really up to you. Maybe if you have one prefence of color (silver vs. gold) then they could pick out their own piece in the color you choose. But IMO the jewlery does not have to be identical. Its a personal preference.

I mean it is really up to you. I haven't been a bridezilla yet, but all the girls are getting the same necklaces. Anything else I don't care. But silver and gold, I would not be feeling that. You should pick what goes best with your colors!

Nah, it'll be fine. In fact, it would be preferable, especially if for example, some of your BMs are warm toned (olive-skinned) and think they look better in yellow gold and some are fair skinned and blonde and hate they way they look in yellow. Your BMs aren't robots; they're people! They can wear different jewelery.

I dont think it matters. I did get the same for all my BMs but I think I may get my MOH a different one. Its up to you really. And I think it would look nice

I am asking my BM's to wear either white gold or silver.I rather not have gold and white/silver mix.
But they can wear what makes them comfortable. If they want to wear an important gold ring (e-ring, wedding band etc) whatever that is fine.
I just rather have same in earings and necklaces. Like no black rope necklaces

I think wearing different jewelry is totally fine. It won't look bad and I think the girls will happy to choose the kind of jewelry that they want to wear.

LOLOL thank you! I have a friend who's making Swarovski crystal jewelry for my girls, I just have to decide if I want to go w/ topaz/goldish colored stones or clear/silver colored stones. But knowing what my girls like and prefer, I think I will make them all different. THANKS LADIES! I got more replies in 5 mins just now than I did on the other post from last night

I think you should go with all one tone - either silver or gold - and then let them choose individual style. I'm a stickler about NOT wearing gold & silver together.

I dont think it matters all that much. Unless they have tea length and wearing gold and silver shoes then I would have them choose one or the other.

I think it will look fine but you should have the final say. I would try and bring some type of uniformity to the group, such as having them wear the same color gemstone. That way they could use different styles, settings or base metal but still have a common thread. HTH

I think it is up to you in the end, if you prefer all the girls to wear silver or gold, that is your call.
I personally don't like the way silver and gold look together for jewlery , so I gave my BMs the choice of either silver gold shoes/ purses / jewlery ect , and they chose silver .

Re: Im gonna try asking this again LOL
Well my dilemma is that their dresses are all the same color (truffle) but the dresses all have a silver/rhinestone brooch on them. Normally, I'd never put silver w/ brown but b/c it's already on the dress, I sort of feel like I should do ONLY silver jewelry. But again, not all my girls like silver, and it's important to me that they like what I buy them and (hopefully) will wear it again.

Im big on uniformity too. My girls will have similar hairstyles, the same dress/shoes/jewls/and shawl. I personally wouldnt want them to wear different jewl. especailly not one person wearing silver and others wearing gold. In pics that might stand out.

I agree 100% about the gold and silver thing...its ok if they dont all match though
