I'm halfway married....

We went for our marriage licence this morning!!!

Woo Hoo! We were the first ones there.. easy as anything. We were in & Out in 15 min.

Why cant everything be this easy

We went for ours on Tuesday morning, same thing, very easy and super fast!!!
Now, it's really REAL!!!

Yes, I the office are only Mon-Fri.

Just get there really early. Try to be the 1st ones there and then you will be out in 15 min-tops! I was only an hour late to work. (Well... I would have been here sooner if I didn't 'accidentally' take the train into Bklyn.

Where did you go? and how much was the money order you had to bring?

$35 money order
You can go to any town hall. I went to the one in Staten Island, but there is one in each borough & all over Long Island.

We HAD to pay by money order Rules are diff all over the place I guess. THIS is what makes things so confusing AND this is why people never have the correct info.

I think the money order thing applies to NYC

Yeah...NYC is MO only! They are really strict about that. You are right about the confusing part.

I thought the same things when we got mine...I got myself all worked upa nd how much time it was going to take etc etc...but so simple!!!!

Yay Janie!!! I went to one in LI... the NYC one in queens is always a mad house unless you go at the crack of dawn.

Its not that confusing..

NYC - MO only $35
Outside NYC (aka NYS Townhalls) they accept -check, MO and Cash $40.
