We went for our marriage licence this morning!!!

Woo Hoo! We were the first ones there.. easy as anything. We were in & Out in 15 min.

Why cant everything be this easy

Congrats! I think I am going to go tomorrow. The place is only open until 3:15 and I will be running in at like 3:07 probably! I hope they let us do it!

Check the website... are you going to a NYC or NYS town hall? I know they sometimes stop taking ppl after a certain time.

Town of North Hempstead. I won't really be going out of my way so I will just hope they take us or we'll go back another day.

Actaully I think you'll be good as long as you get there by 3:15. Congrats... when I went I didnt know I had to decide then how I was going to change my name. It freaked me out because I wasnt ready for that decision - My mind was like to hyphenate or not to Hyphenate

Since it was on a whim, I decided to just take his last name, hypheante is too long.. I was in mourning when I got home for a bit

The lady made it worse at the hall because she was like once you decide - thats it, the only way to change it is to get married again
