I'm having a hard day.

I just found out that someone whom I was very close with in high school was recently killed in a motorcycle accident, and since I am in MA I was not able to make it to the wake. This is my second friend who has died in a few years in a motorcycle crash, and I am just feeling so sad. He recently was married, and I just keep thinking about how hard this must be for his wife. I just needed to share this.

I understand completely..

spend alot of time around his wife, when she wants the company and don't forget her on holidays, birthdays etc

was it on a jap bike? Ilost several friends this way also.

If people saw my ex's autopsy report, they wouldn't ride these things or even buy them.

I don't know all of the details as of yet. My sister went to the wake this evening and said she would call when she got home. I'm just feeling so sad. He is not someone whom I stayed very close with, but someone that I would still see and talk to every now and then. He was very close with my family when we were teenagers, so it is just tough. And it really makes me think about my other friend more as well.
Jenn, I am so sorry to hear about your ex. Thank you for sharing that with me. I really do think people should know the risks of riding these things. But I guess you take a risk in everything you do.

Maybe send his wife a card accompanied by a letter and include that you'd like to k.i.t. etc. Even though she may think you're there for her - it's always nice to vocalize it once in a while.

I had to identify him at the morgue & all.
Sad. He was killed on the Wantaugh Pkwy.

Prncess, I have freinds I don't talk to except for every once in a while & I know, it doesn't make it any less easier.

I hope your pain subsides quickly.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I wish they would not make bikes anymore, I know people who died and my ex fi almost got killed on one and still wouldn't get rid of having a bike. Just hang in there and stick by your friends and family.

FI and I lost a dear friend last year in a motorcycle accident. (harley davidson motorcycle) He was killed on the BQE by an 18 wheeler.

Its really hard but the pain does go away. FI and I have had some close encounters and we have a few friends who were wiped out but thankfully they walked away with scratches or a broken bone.

Its such a tragic loss but be strong and just like someone said earlier, be their for his wife.
