i'm having second thoughts about my RH

b/c i really dont think we can afford it!!! we are paying for the whole wedding ourselves!!! its frustrating b/c we both loved the place. our BM at the hall was very cool & told us to get back to him about this b/c he will refund our money which i thought was sooo nice! he was so understanding!!! so right now we are thing about the cresent beach club. any thoughts about it? we got a pretty good price for a sat june wedding. we've been there for a wedding before & we do love the place!! what do u think

Let's see - if you really, really, really want something - you can make it happen. Second jobs and all that. IMO, I wouldn't settle - I would work my butt off to have it at the place of my dreams - without walking into my marriage with debt!

You can do it!!!

i work 2 jobs & so does FH. its really hard. Glen Island harbour is really expensive. both places we love!!!

IMO... a wedding is one day. Yes, it's a very importnt day, but there are so many beautiful places to get married. And there are RHs at all price points. (Not sure, but I don't think the Crescent Beach Club is much less expensive than the place you have now). If your RH is willing to refund your money, shop around and see some other places. You may find something you love even more.

My FH and I are in the same boat as you...we're paying for the ENTIRE wedding ourselves. We had to sit down for a while and really think about what we could afford cause we didnt want our new lives together to start with debt. I agree with the above, that if you really want something, you can make it happen. But you should try and be as realistic as possible. If you love both places...then maybe you should go for the cheaper one.

FH and I are paying for everything also, when we sat down and started talking about booking, the one thing we knew would help a lot would be the date...we chose March because it is cheaper...not sure if its an option but maybe you can just change the date?

thanks girls!! yeah i dont want us to go to debt b/c of our wedding! it just doesnt make sense! we saw cresent beach club today & loved it! we got an awesome price at least i think it is for a sat night in june!!!

clm is really nice ...reasonable and they bring up up to the reception on a boat! they have awesome food!!!!

Crescent is LESS expensive than Glen Harbor? I looked into both last year and I thought Crescent was FARRRRRR more expensive....?

I don't remember now...but I'm pretty sure that was the case???

I know Glen Island is VERY expensive. It's your wedding at you choose what you would like but also something that won't put you into debt!!! My uncle got married there in 2005. It was nice but I don't think it was any better than any of the more affordable places.

really $130 for peek- i had the bigger room so we had to guarantee alot more people & cresent beach club gave us a great deal b/c i know one of the BM there!!! nice to have a hookup!!!
