I'm here again, but this time, I REALLY think I am going to be a mommy!
Hi ladies, I hope someone is out there! I have been lurking around here for awhile. I used to be a very active poster but changed jobs so computer access is less and so is down time! Anyway, I posted last month b/c I thought I might be pregnant but wasn't. My DH and I went off the pill in Sept but weren't reallt trying......but around Xmas, we slipped once or twice. Fast forward to now......I am 9 days late, have VERY sore and swollen boobs and period like cramps. I finally get the nerve to go to rite aid and get a test(my DH is working) I took it and it came back POSTIVE!!! I'm freaking right now!! You guys are the first people I've kinda told, I can't reach DH!! What do I do??? OH MY GOD! I feel like I could puke!!

First things first. Keep trying to contact your husband. You'll feel better when you say it out loud. Sounds to me like it's a definite, but let's keep in mind that there are a few chemical pregnancy stories on this board and others (which I hate because they make me so sad), so you'l have to get a doctor's appt to confirm 100% - but sounds good!
Don't smoke, drink, take Advil or any other meds till you get your doctor on the phone. I cannot wait to find out who you are!!!!

Thanks I think.... I bought 3 tests, I think I'm going to take another one just in case. My mom just called to invite DH and me to dinner, I can't go!!!! I will be acting weird!!!

Tell DH as soon as you can, and call your doctor tomorrow.

Thanks Jenny! My DH can't be reached at work unfortunately(city job) plus do I want to tell him on the phone?? I'm a little nervous b/c think if it is true, it happened right before Xmas. We went to sooooo many parties over the holidays where I was drinking, We went to visit my inlaws for a week over new year's and all we did was go out all the time!! I even was at a party last wkend!!! I also get migrains and took at least 2-3 prescription pills for pain in the last month! How bad is this??

well let's put this into perspective for you.
when i found out i was pregnant, i was smoking a cigarette and drinking my third glass of wine on my deck.
so...I wouldn't worry about it. Seriously - most people dont' know for weeks and continue their terrible FUN habits! Be glad you partied....won't be much more of that in your near future!

ok....that makes me feel better! I feel soo sick to my stomach right now! I just went on webmd and according to them I'm 5 weeks and 2 days(I put in my last period 12/10) EDD is 9/17.... I can't wait until I have to pee again, I want to take another test!!!!!

what you should do is take a test in the morning - I know you'll take them all day today anyway -that is the nature of the beast. But the morning one is really right on. First pee. Don't worry about the drinking and stuff. Just cut it all out now until you know what is really going on. But it sounds to me like you're going to be added to our list soon!!!!
Can you at least tell us if you are on our TTC list? Or is that too much info?

Ok,I think I'm going to wait for DH to get home to tell him.....only about 5 hrs to go! I don't want to tell him on the phone...He can't react at the firehouse! How should I tell him?

Just kidding - you let us know when you are ready. As far as creative ideas to tell the hubby you are barking up the wrong tree. I stood there crying and said -'I think we have a swimmie'. So I am not exactly the picture of maturity OR creativity when it comes to this one!

VERY! I had terrible cramps until I was about 9 or 10 weeks along.

I had awful cramps. That's why I kept thinking I was getting my period. Totally normal.

alrighty then...I feel better again!!!! ok, drinking a huge glass of water to get myself ready for the next 'pee' My dad was just away for the last week in Colorado to ski and my mom wants us to go out to dinner to watch the football games tonight at our localsports bar/restaraunt.....they will know something is up if I go and don't have a drink to watch the game(I love sports!) they will also think I'm a bit** if I say i can't go.....what to do????
