I'm homeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
So even though I was sporadically posting while I was away, I'm officially back from Lancaster now! FH & I had a really great time- for the most part. My parents came up from Monday-Thursday, and unfortunately, on Wednesday night they got into a bad car accident. Someone was speeding and ran a red light and hit them. They aren't sure yet, but it looks like my Dad's car could be totaled. My parents were OK. They were both injured-pains in neck and such- and my Mom was really shaken up. They have to go to Physical Therapy now, but thank God they are OK.
As for the rest of the trip, we loved everything. Well maybe there were one or two places we wouldn't go again lolol.
The Eastland Alapacas were AMAZING. They're a distant relative of llamas, but they only grow to 150lbs while llamas grow to 300lbs. We got to feed them, hold them, and pet them. They're such gentle and loving creatures. If anyone is ever in the Central PA area, I'd suggest checking them out.
Some of the other attractions we LOVED: The Wolf Sanctuary- the wolves were beautiful as well. We were told that there are only two known reports of wolves killing humans- and in both cases the wolves were sick. That's a pretty astonishing fact. We also loved the Indian Echo Caverns- you go b/t 90-110 feet underground and explore the ancient caverns. There's a lot of history and interest there. Our other two favorite attractions were probably the Lancaster Ghost Walk and the Ephrata Cloisters. Again, so much history. It was really awesome to be standing in a place where 18th century monks lived out their lives. And I got pics of orbs on the ghost tour, yikes!
I'll be posting the pics that I took in the next few days or so (I took like500 pics I think) on facebook, and I'll put a link here. There's just so much history in the pics, and I think it's awesome! =D
