Since I couldn't find a Reception hall that charge $50 pp, I have another plan. I'm going to rent a nice hall in LI, Queens, or BK and have the food catered. One that would allow me to bring in my own alcohol. Hopefully I can make it work and it would turn out to be about $50 pp. I figure I can always go to a nice park and take pictures.
With that said, do any of you know of a nice rental hall that I can rent to have my reception (one that can hold up to 150 people)
Thanks in advance ladies!

Re: I'm Hopeless....
I'm helping my coworker plan his wedding and he has a tight budget of about $12,000. I called Villa Russo for him and they told me plates start at $42, his guest list is only 75 so it works out. They also have an all inclusive package for $9995. Check them out www.villarussocatering.com and good luck.

Re: I'm Hopeless....
I just wanted to let you know that my friend did her wedding on a Saturday afternoon in June for $50 a person at Verdi's on Old Country Road. Just wanted to suggest that incase you didn't look there yet.

Re: I'm Hopeless....
i had my engagement party @ The Knights of Columbus in New Hyde Park & they only charge $42/person.. full open bar included & that includes tax and service fees
it's not your usual Knights of Columbus (plain hall with nothing to it)... it's actually very nice.. chandeliers.. mirrors on walls.. nice bathrooms.. & the food was awesome (they use an outside caterer)
the room is quite large.. can probably fit 200 or more people in it.. we had 120 people at our engagement party and there was plenty of room
HTH!
good luck!!

check out the Amity Harbor Beach & Civic Association.
Beautiful VFW-esque venue located on the water.

I agree! This place is really very nice. My shower was there in the smaller room downstairs. I have been to parties in the larger room upstairs and I know it would be beautiful for a wedding. Definitely check it out.

The Oceanside Knights of Columbus is really really nice. They charge about $41 per person and do all their own food, carvings stations, etc. They do a lot of weddings there, they are reasonable, big ballroom. Definitely check it out. They can work on the price with you.
I know a couple people that got married there. It was very nice.

Don't worry, you're not hopeless! Honestly, I'd look into off-season Friday nights and Sunday afternoons and possibly reducing the guest list. That Knights of Columbus hall looks really nice, I'd definitely check it out!

Re: I'm Hopeless....
try the Brentwood Country Club... the package i saw advertised sounds like ti may fit your budget... you can also try to cut certain things from a RH package to help cut the base price!! GL!
