Yes, I think the Patch-Med schools are good. Patchogue has some very cute village-y areas.

That's an ok school district but it's really not the best.
If school district is a very important factor to you you may want to look elsewhere

Re: I'm in love with this house.
I coach in the Pat-Med school district and I have the greatest kids in the world on my team. That being said, it's not like the world's worst school district, but having worked in the schools, I know there has been a lot of racial and gang tension, resulting in lockdowns of the high school and such. So the schools are kind of on a decline, not the best, but could be worse.
Just like most places, there are nicer and not as nice parts of the town. I personally live in Patchogue, its like 12:30 at night right now, and I just got in from walking my dog - I don;t think twice about walking at night around here, its pretty nice where i live.

I think the school district there is eh. I think its mostly b/c they dont have tons of money to make improvements to the buildings, etc, but thats not to say the quality of education is sub-par.

You are right on. There are a ton of amazing people working in that district.
