I went to Stony Brook for a semester and meet nice kids from Patchogue. Ha ha. We'd drive there to hit their Salvation Army for cool used clothes - it was our style back in the grunge days.

I loved the shopping area, it reminded me of the '50s or something. Very cute 'Main Street USA' look you'd see in an old movie or something.

Main street used to be soooooo much better than it is now. All of the stores are closing.

When I was younger my parents owned a store on Main St and I used to love going there

Have you been within the past year? Because main street just went through a massive revival. Some really nice restaurants have opened up, the theater is beautiful, and some small businesses have come back.

PatMed is a decent district. I grew up in East Patchogue and went to South Country Schools, but PatMed isn't bad.

I live right around the corner from that house. It is SOOOO cute!! I can't believe it hasn't sold yet! It is in the much desired 'Roe Blvd' area. The only problem with this house , is that it is towards the end of Roe, and very close to the 112 intersection. It is on a fairly busy road. My grandmother is a real estate agent, and she said it is super nice inside. I went to Pat-Med, and it wasn't bad then, although I heard it is on the decline. I would definitely send my children there though. There are worse school districts in the area. Definitely check it out!!

I was wondering about the house. Thanks for finding out for me. I just love the style.

I thought it was very different from everything we have been looking at. I usually think of cookie cutter things as being the same as everyone else, but I definitely know what you mean with this house. I really love that it has character.

Just like with everywhere Jess..there are good areas and bad areas...Medford isn't the best and some area's of Patchogue aren't great...but other area's are really nice.

Always do school research online and checkout the statistics...When you go look at houses...always make sure to visit at different times of the day and night to check out the area...HTH
