So I am an elementary school teacher and ALL of my adorable 4th graders are dying to come and see me get married. The thing is Im getting married at the reception hall...SO I decided to draft a letter to let the families of these children know they are more than welcome to come but have to leave after the ceremony...and well that's where my dilema comes in...I cannot figure out how to word telling them they have to leave after the ceremony. I certainly don't want to be rude or harsh in my letter, but I need them to understand that my cocktail hour is starting right after the ceremony and so they need to leave....Any thoughts on how to do this???

what about saying coming to ceremony then ADULT cocktail hour following.. makes it clear that the students are not involved.. and your def. not inviting the parents.. address it to the student so the parents know their not invited to the adult cocktail hour!

I know they would love to see you get married, BUT could you draft a letter saying that as much as you would love to have them their you can't due to its location? And you will be happy to share pictures?

make it on word with a cute border and print it out like a flyer but more of an invite layout and give the time.. 1pm-130pm... that way they get the point and make sure it says.. Ceremony invite! i think thats fine.. most of the parents will know they are not invited to the reception. but for those who are a little.. duh duh it makes it clear and very tactful
