But how many of you, when you RSVP NO for a wedding actually send money or a gift when you RSVP no? (Given it's not a close family member or friend).
I was just curious because I never knew this until I started wedding planning and now I feel bad I never knew this and was wondering how many of us really do this.... (if that makes sense... LOL)

yea, I got what you're saying... I think it depends on the guest?
If it's your mother's co-worker's girlfriend, I don't think they would send a gift even if they RSVP 'no.'
I personally would send a gift depending on my relationship with the b/g.

Ohh definitely... I meant if it's not a close family member or friend because then I would definitely be there....

No.. wat i meant was.. even if you couldn't make it, and they were close to you, then you would def. send a gift. But, i think, if you couldn't make it and they aren't so close to you, then you wouldn't send anything.

Likewise, if we're close with the couple of bride/groom, we send a gift off their registry to their house.
Otherwise, nothing.

Re: I'm just curious here....
I sent no money when I RSVP's to my coworkers daughter, but I got something off her registry and gave it to her mom. BTW, 5 months later..no thank you note.
