I'm like a posting maniac...fh is worried about...

I guess that's whT you get when I miss a whole day of liw...withdrawals! Lol

Fh is getting a little nervous bc we are paying for our reception ourselves. Our invite list is around 270. I'm praying that most people say no bc the majority of people are from oot and it's labor day weekend. We've been pretty good w paying chcc a chunk of money every month, but it's that last check fh is worried about. What did you married girls do if you were low on cash for the last payment? Take a loan out? Girls who aren't married yet, god forbid this would happen, but what would you do??

Right?! I don't wanna ask our parents bc they're paying for the majority of vendors and fh and I really didn't want to ask our parents in the first place, bc that's just how we are..so now were both stumped!

We're praying the someone agrees to sign a loan with us. Bc we're pretty mch screwed bc of our car situation it sucks.

But I'd probably ask mom and dad for a loan and pay them back with gift money right after

However, we have like a 65% yes rate because almost everyone is OOT

We invited 170 and have 113 yeses

you should definitely get a backup plan like that. or, cut down your guest list a little bit - we recently cut our guestlist from 270 to 234 and i feel so much better now

We have no one to ask for help ... We already tried cutting our guest list down, and every time we cut 2 people, we realized one was missing!

I would borrow from my parents and pay them back with the money we get from the wedding. Worst case scenario I guess we would cash advance a credit card.

The thing is our families put together is 147 lol. Our bridal party is 23 plus their wives, husbands, gf bfs.. I always wanted a big Irish wedding. ;) I know some will say no n some have already said no whenbwe sent stds. If 200-220 come, I'd be happy bc we'd only have to pay a small amount!

I only have about 120. I'm considering taking a loan out which is something I'm constantly arguing about with mom. FH lost his job, then got a worse lower pay job, then lost that job but got a better job with a low pay for his training period 3+ months. Needless to say I'm coming up short. Mom has offered to help but she has already taken on most of my vendors and dress. I finally explained that it would help build up my credit, so we'll see.

We are in the same boat as you.. .we have 270 on our list and at least 70 NEED to say no! haha I feel terrible saying it but I don't think we can make that payment otherwise. I am thinking that if we are in a tough spot we could ask my parents to front the money for us and worst case scenario we could pay them back with wedding money. This is SO not what I would want to do but prob could if absolutely necessary.

Don't take out a loan if you can avoid it!

We have money put away that we're not touching for that reason....all of our paymentshave been coming out of our weekly paychecks.
We also calculated the 'worst case scenario' and calculated how much a month to pay to the hall based on that, so we're hoping that in the end we won't have much more to add. We're inviting about 375-400 (there is a good amount that are from Europe) and hoping for 325
