I'm married!!!!!!!!!!!!! My 4/9/05 wedding review
Hey Girls!!
I can't belive it's all over. I can't get used to the new name thing but I'm very happy. Anyway, here's my review.
Catering Hall
Stuart Thomas Manor-A+ I could not have asked for more in a catering hall. They went above and beyond to make sure my day was perfect. They were extremely easy to reach and kept in constantly contact about even the smallest details of my wedding. I was very happy with them and would highly recommend them to anyone still looking for a catering hall.
Florist
Pedestals Florist- A The flowers were gorgeous. One of my married girlfriends said that she wished she got married after me because the flowers were so beautiful she would have gotten the same ones. The only reason I did not give them an A+ was the customer service, for the most part it was fine but I did get an attitude from some of their staff. However most of the staff were very courteous and helpful.
Photographer
Lavender Photography- B The pictures came out fine but there were very few taken of the party and the ones that were taken I was extremely unempressed with. Michael, the photographer they sent, was very nice and professional and in all fairness the pictures came with a package that I did not choose to upgrade. The pictures my friends took came out much better than the photographer's. Encourage your friends to take tons of pics cuz those are the pictures you really end up cherishing.
DJ
All Island Entertainment- B, they kept people up and dancing up night which was great. My only real complaint was that the DJ encouraged my husband to smear cake on my face. He said that he'd heard that I wore the pants in the family and was my husband really going to stand for that. I found that extremely unprofessional. My husband did it cuz he's a guy and the DJ basically told him if he didn't do it he was the world's biggest wimp. We got into a fight over it at the reception. Everything's fine now but it did put a damper on the wedding.
Invitations/Programs
Cathy from Sweet Nut Hut- A++ LOVED HER Not only is she an incredibly nice person but she's fantastic at her job. I used her for programs and invitations. The invitations were about the most affordable you can get without actually printing your own, but everyone raved about them. My husband's grandfather actually got upset with us for spending 'so much money' on invitations when he knew someone who could get us a deal. For the programs, after I had approved the proof and received the programs I realized that the programs had a typo. (the proof was a fax and kinda smudgy and hard to read) The company tried to say that we approved the proof and we were stuck but Cathy made them fix the typo and overnight new programs at no additional cost to us.
I think that's about it. We didn't do limos since we got married at the catering hall. Let me know if I left anything out.
