I'm meeting with Frankin Square photo tonight...

Okay so I'm meeting with them tonight at 7 (first vendor i'm meeting with!). They seem very nice on the phone, i liked their site and i'm looking foward to sitting with them. I DID see on their site that their packages START at $5,995 . I called back (ready to cancel because it was already way past my budget) but Dawn (the lady there) said it was photo-video combo package, but they can all be customized to what we want.

Honestly, is that like REALLY high for photo and video total? I don't know what's high or low yet.

Anyone have any additional questions they'd like me to ask while i'm there?

You guys weren't kidding....they are DEFINITELY high (if you're interested in knowing, FM me). The $5995 was NOT the photo/video package. In fact that price alone was for only one of a few photo options, minus video. Keith was very nice to talk to; we were there for THREE HOURS. The pictures were gorgeous, the albums were beautiful, and I was impressed with the list of things that are included (particularly that they print everything right there in the studio, there is no time limit and the little brag book) but I wasn't 100% blown away ya know? I feel like I should be acting like I did when I found my RH, that it was 'The One' or am I just expecting too much from the first vendor I saw?

So, one down..a whole bunch more to go. We promised ourselves we would decide by next Friday. We are also visiting with:

Sherwood Triart
Perceptions
Silverfox
Imagine

Your comments were greatly appreciated and I gladly welcome more advice. I'll let you know how it goes with the others as I go.

OOFAH! Then that IS high! We're looking at photo/video between 3500-5000...and for 5k, that better include 3 hot guys and a free back massage. LOL

lol, maybe just a free back massage...you're getting married! I'm sure that package includes a lot of bells and whistles you don't need.

we also looked into franklin square. love their work, but they are on the pricey side. maybe you should go and see how much you can negotiate them down to.

They were WAY out of our price range...

For us FS Photo gave us the wow factor which is why we went in over our head in photo and video but it's the one vendor that FH and I don't mind overspending on cause it's the only thing you have left to remember the day by.

Sherwood triart is also really really good. We met with them but I'll let you know they are priced around the same as FS Photo and from our experience with them they give you a lot less for the money.

You should also check out Bliss Productions. They do amazing work too! Goodluck!

Thank you so much! :) I really did like them...maybe after I meet with everyone else I'll realize I really was blown away by them. I'm starting to think though that it's more the shock of spending THOUSANDS on anyone that has me feeling kind of, well..shocked. LOL

Yeah FS Photo is definitely expensive!! I sooooo wish I could afford them! I live right in the area and a couple of my friends used them for their weddings and their pics came out AMAZING!!!
But oh well!! Good luck with your other meetings!!

I also went to check out FS photographers and also met with Keith.. I love their work but yes they are on the pricey side.. I didn't book with them (waaayyy out of my price range) but I love the way that they are so enthusiastic about their work. If I had the budget to afford them they would have been my first choice...lol
