I'm moving and need help!

Well, its official, my hubby accepted a job offer in MD and we're moving within a month! I can't believe it - so much to do.... but first thing is first...

has anyone moved recently that would be able to tell me about how much $ it costs to move? I know every move must be different, but a ball park would be helpful. We got a nice relocation package, but it would be nice to know how much of that we can save ;-)

I haven't moved in a long time (at least not with movers) so I can't be helpful to answer your question. I was just curious as to whether we'll be neighbors...

Sara, so much depends on how much you have. My parents just moved out of their house of 30 years and had to store things for 2 weeks at the place and I believe it cost them about 11,000.

When I moved from MI to NY (apt to apt) it was based on 1/3 of the trailer and how many days it took them and it was $1,700.

I mean there are so many variables. Best of luck though and MD is really nice. We'll miss you.
