Im so excited!!!!! FH and I have been looking at a few different apartment complexes/buildings and today we signed with one! We can move in whenever bc this month is free and we got a pretty good deal monthly rent
We currently live in a basement apartment and the place isnt too bad but im soooooo excited to not live in someones house anymore!
The place we are moving to has a fitness center (btw anyone who wants a gym membership to lucille roberts i can sell u my card i have like a year and a half left on my membership and its the gold card where u can go to any gym but i normaly went to the one in massapequa), it has a pool, a lounge....and in the apartment is a washer/dryer and a dishwasher!! (i know its a stupid thing to be excited about but when every week u gotta lug your clothes to your parents house and always have to hand wash your dishes, it makes a HUGE difference)
anyways i just had to share my excitement!!

wow that is not bad at all. my apt in the city was about that price for a small one bedroom and a small kitchen/living room haha no room and 2 people so for that price i think it is a great deal!!!!!!!

i know!! im so excited! its funny bc last night we were looking at the website and other avalons and saw how expensive they were, but we looked at this one and they had 2 one bedroom floorplans in the 1600 range, but according to the website there werent any available..and even so we figured (especially from experience) that usualy the websites give prices that are cheaper then they offer them so we didnt think we can afford it but we wanted to see them anyways bc they looked nice and had a washer and dryer...i was SHOCKED when the guy said we have a special going on for 1425!

its nowhere near where i live now or where i work lol but i work in brooklyn so nothings near haha but its close to where fh works...and neither of us has ever lived or known people that has lived in glen cove so itll take us a bit to figure out where everthing is in that area haha but im excited!! its funny bc i didnt want to sound stupid by being so excited about having a dishwasher, washer, and dryer...but a ton of people have FMed me asking for info about it bc they want that in there apartments too haha so i guess im not alone LOL

you are def not alone i would love to have a dishwasher and washer/dryer in an apt. unfortunately i have to live with FIL's irght after we get married for about a year. But fortunately we dont have to pay for it. But I told FH I am giving 2 years and if we dont have enough money to buy a house to atleast get a nice big apt so we arent living with fil's. what happens if i get pregnant i am not starting to raise my children in fils house. i can just imagine what htey would be like- they would always be in my apt since it is attached to their house!! ughh i need to get out of my house and i am when fh comes home but right into fh's house haha man maybe i can convience fh to look at these apt. maybe at the one in melville!

I think I know exactly where you're talking about? FH and I were considering buying one for like 3 minutes until we remembered we were poor. Are they considered townhouses?

no..they are apartments in a big complex..u dont own them just rent..and the price isnt bad! trut me we are both teachers so we def dont have a lot of money haha

I'm from there and still go there about 3-4 times a week. I have family and friends there, my doctors are still there etc. One of my co workers moved there about a year ago, not knowing anything about the place. So i helped her out big time. FM me if you have any questions about anything!!
