I'm Mrs. Callahan!!! *pics (UPDATE WITH HM [EMP] PICS AT END)
I'm back!!! yay!!!
just a quick post before we finish packing!!
highlights - hair by Stacy Pitt, makeup by Anita Nourhey (i've never felt so beautiful!!!) and my dress was a HUGE hit!!! i was nervous because i picked something so non-traditional.
the INN at New Hyde Park was really great, and their Bed and Breakfast was a huge lifesaver.
lowlights - yikes, flowers were lovely, but not what i wanted or what my sample looked like, plus the cake flowers were not how i had asked for them. just one of the little things that nobody would have noticed but my, but it was a huge dissapointment. i still have to figure out how to deal with it.
little story...
before the ceremony, while waiting at the church for my grandmother to arrive at the church i realized i REALLY had to use the ladies room. i couldn't get to the church bathroom without risked the guests seeing me, so the limo driver took me to the rectory, which was locked
so my sister asked the limo driver to take me home (2 minutes away) but we were right next to the public library, so we pulled in there!! i ran into the library with the full getup on with 2 bridesmaids 'i'm supposed to be getting married right now!!! i need to use the restroom!!!!'
we used the bathroom, when we left the bathroom, the library was packed (the receptionist must have called everyone in to see the debacle) and my close friend i grew up with was working so she got to see me in my dress!!!
i will NEVER forget it!!
