After 3 years together, I have said goodbye to my gel tips. RIP.
I feel naked without them, but I just really really didn't want to have fake nails on my wedding day, so I figured I'd take them off now and work on giving them some TLC over the next 7 months.
Everytime I see fake french nails in wedding pics I really hate the way it looks, and they take soooo many hand pics cuz of the rings, I really want my nails to look naturally pretty..
The TLC treatment has begun....though I still feel SO weird without them

I have never been a fake nail girl.. but I do agree that your real natural nails will look great in pics.

I feel the same way.. it just doens't look as nice.
My nails were 100% me. I took the hair,nails and skin vitamin.
and it really made a huge difference.

Right now I'm just applying Rejuvacote once a day for a week...then i'll switch to every other day...

biotin is one of the ingredients. but it has others as well.
I got it from CVS>. it literally says 'Hair, Skin, Nails : Vitamin'

same here!! i dont love the fake nails but they look better then my natural nails. When i was prego the pre-natal vitamins that are supposed to make them better and stronger didn't even help

I once got an allergic reaction to the acrylic nail and haven't put them on since. my nails have grown back strong. Just give them a little TLC and use Nail Tek for regular manicures.

i wish i could keep em natural, but my nails are thin and flake and peel after a certain length
nail polish doesn't stay on them cause of the fact my nails bend...
ill be faking it for my wedding LOL

I JUST started taking Biotin and my nails are RIDIC strong and grow non stop. I started getting those gel manicures too and they are great... I went over 2 weeks without any chips!

I'm gonna pick up the vitamins today. Im using nail growth nail polish on them now too.
I just really really dislike the look of fakes. And I had them for over 3 years. My hands were always well manicured and well taken care of, but I just never loved it.
I think it looks a little juvenile for a wedding so I'm hoping I'll be able to whip mine into shape over then next 7 months.

I had mine on for 10 years and we had to part. I had them off for 2 1/2 yrs I am getting them back on for the wedding though because it just looks nice! But it took my nails a year to get strong again.

good move! i got them once and they ruined my nails. it took a while for my nails to recover and look and grow normal again!
