eek...that's a big fear of mine! I'm such a bad public speaker!
I wish you luck! It will be over before you know it!

Re: i'm nervous!!!

i'm scared i'm going to faint or something. last week a girl was giving her speech and she started crying so much and she got hives all over her face and i'm scared i'm going to be something like that

just relax and realize you are not the only one who feels this way - then pick one of two people (or quietly place a few inconspicuous post its around the room!) and focus on speaking to them or the post its..its a good way to look like you are looking at the crowd but really you don't have to be! good luck!!

I used to be the same way, and when I took public speaking class I was freaked out at first also. I used to volunteer to go first to get it over with, and I also just used to skim the top of there heads and focus really on the back wall. It must have worked because I got an A in the class.

Definately go first or second! The quicker you get it over with the better. To me, it is all about getting used to it. The more public speaking you do the easier it gets

And remember not to speak to fast! That is a problem I have. I normally speak very fast so when I am speaking in public I have to try to pace myself.
