Since I hear that venues fill up their dates very early on, I want to start looking right away. We're considering April, May or June of 2005 on a Saturday night for approximately 150 people.
Location would be anywhere in Nassau or Suffolk Counties. Price-wise, I'm flexible, but ideally we would like to stay below $150 p/p. (Is that doable?).
Do you have ideas where I should start? Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst is beautiful, and the prices are fantastic. Its right on the Great South Bay an the big room has floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the water.

Woodbury Country Club North Ritz Fox Hollow Stonebridge Hamlet Wind Watch Port Jefferson CC
I want to check out several other places too, but only so much I can do in one weekend, right?
I'll tell you how it goes. Also, let me know if you have any good (and not so good) things to share about these (and other) places! In particular, has anyone had any issues with places that book more than one wedding at a time? I'm wondering if it's something that I would be concerned about. Thanks again!
