Hi Brides, I'm new at all this and I'm sure I'll need lots of help! I've just started to think about venues. Has anybody heard anything about the Venetian Yacht Club( the old John Anthony's) in Babylon or the De Seversky Center on the campus of NYIT? My main concern is that the fiance get his one and only request... GREAT FOOD! Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!

For any venues that you want information on simply use the Search feature. There's a row of buttons toward the top of the screen, click on Search. Then put in the name of the venues you're interested in and choose the Brides Review Board. That will show you all of the brides who have been married at those places and will tell you what each of them thought!!

Welcome!!! Don't worry, all the girls here are very nice. If you have any question, I am sure someone can help you. I don't know about Venetian Yacht Club but I graduated from NYIT and the food is very good.

Wecome to LIW!!!! If one of your main concerns is great food, I would definitely check out Villa Lombardi's. That's the main thing people rave about there. Good luck!

My sister saw the NYIT place and thought it was beautiful. Dont know about the food though.
She and I both booked the Woodlands cause we KNOW the food is exquisite there.
Definitely do searches on the Brides Review forum!!

I've never been to either of the halls you listed, but the food at the Metropolitan in Glen Cove is outstanding. Also, we did a tasting at Douglaston Manor and the food was excellent!

welcome and congrats. I loved to Venetian Yacht Club (2nd choice). They put a lot of money into redoing it. It looks great!

NYIT has a ton of restrictions and does not hold alot of people. i think they only hold around 150. all vendors have to be approved and sign a waiver. you cant bring in any candle, cant put tape on the floors or walls, cant have any flowers that may stain, etc. i think alot of this info is on their website, or you can contact them for the rules. it is very beautiful though. i looked into it but with the low capacity and all the rules we decided against it. good luck!

Congratulations! I've been to both places and they are both beautiful. I haven't eaten at either though. However, I have been to a ton of weddings and the food was exceptionally good at the North Ritz Club, Lands End, Villa Lombardi and Lombardi's on the Sound
