Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer and I am new to this whole thing. My sister is always on here, she just got married in July, so I thought I would give it a try.
Technically I am already married, but I did not get to have my 'real' wedding yet. My husband was sent to desert training two days after our quick spur of the moment wedding and I had two weeks with him before he was shipped out to Iraq. It kind of does not feel like I am married yet since I have only had a total of 12 days with my husband since we have been married. He gets back in May hopefully and then I can start planning my second wedding that will actually have my family and friends there.

August 29th is my first wedding date haha. It all sounds so weird that I will be having a second wedding. We are not sure when the second one will be though since I am not sure of when he will be coming home.

Aww you've been married since August and only had 12 days together?! That must be really hard for you. I had a long distance relationship with my FH and 2 weeks hurt!

It really ***** being away from him, but the support of my family has made it much easier. It is funny because I got married and moved back in with mom and dad so I would not be lonely. I just keep thinking of how great it will be once he is back.
Anyone have any suggestions on cheaper places to get married here on LI? He is a Marine and Marines get paid basically nothing so I want to have a nice cheap wedding haha
