Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer and I am new to this whole thing. My sister is always on here, she just got married in July, so I thought I would give it a try.
Technically I am already married, but I did not get to have my 'real' wedding yet. My husband was sent to desert training two days after our quick spur of the moment wedding and I had two weeks with him before he was shipped out to Iraq. It kind of does not feel like I am married yet since I have only had a total of 12 days with my husband since we have been married. He gets back in May hopefully and then I can start planning my second wedding that will actually have my family and friends there.

It really ***** being away from him, but the support of my family has made it much easier. It is funny because I got married and moved back in with mom and dad so I would not be lonely. I just keep thinking of how great it will be once he is back.
Anyone have any suggestions on cheaper places to get married here on LI? He is a Marine and Marines get paid basically nothing so I want to have a nice cheap wedding haha
Come on over to the swan club side... its on the cheaper end but includes a ton of sh*t How much are you lookin to spend pp?

I am not really even sure yet how much we can afford. I know we will only have around 75 people max so that should help keep costs down. Thanks for the tip though, I will look into it. I just don't want to spend so much for one day and then be in debt after it ya know?

You could look at the Irish Coffee Pub. If you go to the website you will see that it is a really nice place. Lots of people get married there and they do an outstanding job. Also the Riverera in Mass. I know I botched the spelling. They are both great.
