Congrats!!! Why don't you get a copy of a NY area bride magazine with the reception hall guide? Also, narrow by price and area...and then call away!!! Good luck!

I'm scheduled to see the Watermill, Larkfield Manor, Westbury Manor and CLM so far. I also want to look at Louis XVI and maybe some more.
I will keep you updated on what I see also!!!! Thanks!!! Westbury Manor is the only place I have been to out of your list. I LOVE it there!

Welcome and congrats! Best of luck to you and your FH as you plan your day. There is also a board for the grooms if your FH would be into it . Brace yourself for the addiction!
Thank you!!! I have to show FH how to work the lingo (i'm tryin myself) but then again I dont want to fight over who has the computer first!!!!

I had my wedding at Larkfield Manor and couldn't be happier with the outcome. the people you deal with are wonderful and the food is incredible.
thanks for the info!!! I saw Larkfield in a reception book it looks beautiful!!! How far out in LI is it? I'm in Queens
first of all congrats and welcome!!
also i just booked at larkfield so i can tell you where it is. its in east northport. so depending on where you are in queens its not that bad of a drive. it really is absolutely gorgeous. the pictures on their site and the magazines dont do it justice!

Congratulations! I'm getting married at Crest Hollow Country Club. You can check that out. Also, I recently attended a wedding at the Coral House...it was sooooo beautiful there!!!

Thanks for your warm welcomes!!! So far I have looked at Glen Island HC and Marina del rey...loved those places but of course the rooms I want are booked. I'm going to look at Fountain head, tavern on the green and manhattan penthouse. Any feedback would be great on those places. I also may need to book the ceremony there as well.
Congrats and welcome--I see that you are looking into the city---did you look at the Boathouse in Central Park??? I actually did--it was amazing--beautiful location and excellent food---unfortunately, most of my family is on LI and didn't want to travel Good Luck

Congratulations!
If you are willing to travel you will have options. But my one recommendation is to do a quick count of your potential invitation list. halls vary so much in size that you may need a bigger room than you initially think. So definitely know what # you need to fit.
Good luck and welcome!

Welcome and cograts. I would start with the hall and then the band/dj, and photographer, those are the Big 3, IMO. Happy Planning!
