Help, only got engaged recently and have gotten a lot done but have so much to do, i still need flowers, cake, favors, gifts, limo, etc.

Wow! You're getting married soon! Don't fear. It sounds like you have the maor things alreeady booked. you're not that far behind. Just do one thing at a time! The girls on here will definitely be able to give you soem recommendations!

First, welcome and congrats Second, if this is all you have to do, you're fine! You're right on target for your flowers and limos and the gifts and favors can be done even in a month or so. I was told to go three months before my wedding for my cake, so that still gives you some time.

Well thanks for the welcome, I have been reading the board for a few days before i decided to join in I think I could get a lot of advice from everyone. Well I forgot that I still need invites, hair,make-up, and a bunch of small things.
I have a friend that is going to play w/ his band at the wedding, they are great and can't wait. I think I am going with Twelfth Night, hadn't sent a deposit yet. I got a Vera Wang dress, very simple, not a lot of embellshments, (don't have a picture), they are rushing it so i can have it in time,
I can't wait to get involved in this chat board!

I am gettign married 2 weeks after you & jsut have:
church hall dress shoes veil band photographer favors
and the favors, veil & shoes aren't relaly neccesseray to have this early--I'm just a little backwards. what about Bm dresses?

Don't worry. I'm getting married in July and only booked my florist a few days ago. I'd get the reception hall (I htink you have done that), the band and then look for a dress if you haven't already. Dresses take 5 months sometimes. The photographer, florist and cake will fall into place. There are so many vendors out there and they all panic when they aren't booked so they start slashing prices. Don't worry - my vendors cut me great deals. I went to see them early on in the process but let them call me several times and told them I wasn't in a hurry and all the vendors I went to see were still available so I was waiting to see if any could cut their prices. All of them did. They knew they'd either get my business that day or none at all. Do not worry about it. You should get the band and dress and then the rest can be done when you can get to it.

My budget is pretty flexible want to stay under $40 if possible.
I have decided on a location but am not definite and not sure about availablity a lot of places are already booked. I am working on that right now. I will let you know when I am for sure. We might do it in the city if we can't get what we want here but really want it on LI.
