Hi Jess, I am Jess too. There are quite a few of us Jess's actually. Anyway, congrats on your engagement. What type of Reception Hall (RH) do you like. Water, golf course, city style?
I am getting amrried at Floral terrace in Floral Park and it is an old theatre, the place is very different and very beautiful. Only 1 wedding at a time also which was key for me. Let me know if you have any questions and good luck

hi and welcome...congrats on your engagement.

well if you dont want to spend more than 275$ a plate you can book any hall that is recommended pretty much on this website. That's alot of money especially for a Dec wedding. Usually Dec's are cheaper per person so I def believe you will be able to find a hall on a Sat for under 275$.

But what are you looking for in a hall...windows...water.......# of people you are inviting matters as well.....??

let us know some about what you want and we can def help

Hey Jess - I'm Jess as well :)

As someone earlier stated - most reception halls are MUCH cheaper than 275 per head in December. You have picked a wonderful time for wedding savings!!!!

Watermill is very reasonable. Even though it is on a 'main road' you'd never know it once you're inside! Good luck with your search!

With that kind of budget, your options are wide open...

What kind of place do you think you want? DO you want to be in Nassau or Suffolk?

Congrats!!! It depends on what u want. One major requirement for us was just our wedding entirely...So we chose the Milleridge Cottage. Again the choice is yours. Make appointments to see places and then weigh them.

Hi I'm Kristi, Congratulations!!

Well your budget is quite helpful, have you looked at Lands End? It's beautiful there, big, not on a main road, on the water, HUGE! For a winter setting it could be perfect there were fireplaces everywhere. Might be worth a visit.

Good Luck!

You should check out the Glen Cove Mansion or The Woodlands. My reception is being held at North Ritz Club which is gorgeous and has received nothing but RAVE reviews. You should def. look into that place as well

we are trying to narrow it done as much as possible. we went to look at one place and the banquet manager handle our situation very badly and we dont want to go through that again. so places that have an open minded staff is important.

You can, but I think it depends on the season. My Aunt Jane got married there in April of 2000. They do have a banquet hall on premesis. They will even let you take your photographs with some of the animals (not tigers or anything like that) but my Aunt Jane was able to take them with smaller animals, like prairie dogs, bunnies, etc. One issue though is that the menu is strictly vegetarian. I think its a humanitarian thing.
