I'm new here... help? please?

Hi Girls,

I'm getting married in October *just booked the venue last month' and have very few things done! I'm starting to get a little panicky because I don't live in Long Island and don't know ANY local vendors...
Can any of you reccomend...
*a florist
* transportation company
*make-up/hair person
* a rabbi and priest (I'm jewish and my fh is catholic)

I know.. I should have this all done already... ugh.

Thanks in advance for you help!

Hi and welcome to LIW. Wow you really are on a tight time frame LOL.

Florist - Burtons
Limo - Camelot
Hair - Nicole D'Angio

As for makeup, I can't help there. I'm having a hard time with that one myself. Check with your RH they can probably refer you to a priest and a rabbi.

Good luck.

My sis-in-law is Jewish and my brother is catholic. They used Monsignor Lisante and Rabbi Block and the ceremony was beautiful.

Wow, you guys don't mess around! thanks so much for your responses... I really appreciate anything you can share!

I know that I'm nuts for doing this last minute but my FH and I were in the process of buying a house and were going to wait on the wedding...the house fell through in June so we decided to do the wedding first! We're paying for everything on our own so we can only do one at a time... (TMI I know)

I'm getting married in Aquebogue, at Vineyard Caterers...

Thanks again!!

Check with your RH because they may have a package for Photo, DJ, Flowers and Video. If they do not then they will have a list of reccommended vendors and a lot of RH's allow the reccommended vendors to eat free.

We are using Burton's for florist.

We didn't book limos, everyone raves about Camelot, but I think for us it will work out cheaper to book a Suffolk limo company - look at Sir Oliver and Serenity.

Re: I'm new here... help? please?

Since you are getting married way out East (as am I) it would probably be better to get vendors out that way

I am using

Ivy League Flowers (in Southold, Ginger is GREAT, so attentive and nice and you will pay a lot less than a 'wedding florist'.)

Elegant Limo- they gave me the best quote, you can also try Serenity

Hair- Katy Smith out of New Beginnings in Southold
Makeup- Dina Rizzo Reilly out of New Beginnings as well (the same salon is a coincidence! Highly recommend both!)

Not sure about your officiants....we are getting married at St. Isidore in Riverhead so we have Fr. Kuznik.
