FM is forum mail, like if you want to send someone a private message rather than post it on the boards
BUMP is to bump the thread to the top of the page so more people see it

First off - welcome & congrats on your engagement!!!!
FM is Forum Mail - it's a private email system - so you can individually write to people without everyone seeing what you said.
BUMP - is what we do to an old post to see if anyone else has something to add. For example - you post something early in the morning & get a bunch of responses - but you know the night girls may never see it - by then it could be on page 4.. You click to reply and type BUMP - and it's back to page 1.
There's a link under MY WEDDING - called Chat Lingo - it may be helpful for ya!!!

You post 'BUMP' on your messages when you are trying to bring your topic to the top of the list because you need more feedback.

Welcome...It's an adjustment in the beginning, but becomes very addicting very quickly.
