I'm New!...& TWOTY

Hi everyone. I recently joined LIW and you are all so helpful. I started making posts yesterday but I guess I should introduce myself!

My name is Pamela & I met my FH, Marc, the first day of our sophomore year at CW Post when we both transferred there from different schools. We became best friends (together every single day) but it was nothing romantic b/c we were both in serious long term relationships. Well that all changed after a year. I knew I wanted him and was pretty confident the feeling was mutual. After another few months, we both ended our unhappy relationships and started officially dating on Valentine's Day of 2005 We just got engaged on June 23rd and recently booked our ceremony & reception at Lombardi's on the Sound in Port Jeff for Aug. 6, 2010.

I'm so happy to have joined LIW and am starting to decipher all the lingo, lol. But I do have one question...What exactly is TWOTY???? I saw a great review of it but I'm still confused lol. Help!

TWOTY= The Wedding of the Year.

Its a mock wedding put on by LIW so all the brides can see vendors in action. The past year's brides participate as the bride/groom and bridal party. This past TWOTY was SOOO much fun!!
