we arent either! i just dont think random friends of FILs want a pic of me in their house....

we had gorgeous thank you cards made up for our e-party, simple cards that say thank you on the front and our names at the bottom of the fold, in calligraphy. we're gonna use them!

yeah i bought boxes of 50 at michaels and used my 50% coupons. they were like 5 dollars.

ill send those instead.

Me too! I never thought about doing a photo thank you--I've never received one from any friends!

Here is a predicament with photo thank yous---we got a decent amount of gifts from people that weren't invited to the wedding and obviously thanked them, if you only did photo cards, did you send those to people that weren't invited to wedding?

seriously? who cares if there handwrittien or not, what if that person had carpel tunnell syndrome or really bad embarrassing handwriting?

of course im handwriting mine, but still, a TY is a TY. I gave a gift to my ex boyfriend's sister & brother, and i never got a thank you because we broke up 3 weeks after the wedding.

that pissed me off. i gave them a good gift!

because... a thank you note is supposed to be personal. you should figure out a way to make it so they know it is written especially for them besides their name being on it...

a lot people just have a card with a pic on it printed out saying something like 'thanks for celebrating our special with us'.

when that should really just be the opening line a of a thank you note.

i think it's tacky but, LOL there's plenty of ***** i do that people would say is tacky so... to each their own.

i just think of all things... sending someone a note should be personal and a generic thank you is the opposite of personal.
