Hey ladies I asked 7 of my closet fam/friends to partake in my special day. One of my BMs asked me what expense would I be taking care of ex: Hair & Makeup, Nails, SO my question to you ladies what expenses will you be picking up for your BMs
Was planning on paying for hair/mu but had to cut on budget. I'll give them d accesories as a gift instead.

I was planning on only purchasing jewellry gifts for them. I hope they don't expect anymore I may also pay for their makeup, we may get it done together. So much to think about.

I'm buying them all gifts, and part of that gift is DOJ. They are responsible for the dress, shoes, hair, and makeup. Anytime I've been a BM that's what I was responsible for. I've never expected the bride to pay for those things.

I'm doing manis and pedis--I'd paying for two to get hair but the rest of my BMs want to do themselves and I trust them!
Also buying necklaces--they are wearing their own pearls to match necklace.

ITA~ As a bridesmaid, I never assume the bride's going to take care of any of that. Do what you can afford. I bought my BM's a bracelet and a jewelry box.

I feel the same way!! I am just buying them gifts! Not paying for their hair and makeup!!! I will give them a gc to go get a mani pedi but thats it!!

i voted nails, but i am going to get them DOJ and i will pay for their mani/pedis the weekend of. I may also splurge for my MOH hair and makeup but i am thinking about getting her something from Tiffanys so i dont know what my budget for them will be by then. As of right now that is all i am doing.

ITA! I'm getting my BM's day of necklaces and clutches as part of their gifts. They are on their own for anything else.

I'm getting them gifts which will inclued DOJ. They are paying for the rest, but I told them that if they want to do there on make-up thats fine by me.

Nails and probably the day of jewelery but I don't think my BMS expect any of that. I think it's a little rude to expect that the bride should pay your expense for being a bridesmaid.

I'm paying for my BM's hair and makeup. I got them all separate gifts as well, but they are paying for dress, shoes, jewelry, etc.

I did not pay for anything for my BMs. I gave them the choice of what they wanted to do for hair/nails/makeup/shoes/jewelry and they paid for whatever they wanted. My only criteria was that they wore makeup - whether they put it on or paid someone else to - and that their shoes were black. As gifts I got them other things that I thought they would like and appreciate more than if I paid for their things.
Being a BM is expensive, what can I say? So is paying for your own wedding.

I can understand why your friend asked. She wants to be sure she is capable for fulfilling the bridesmaid role so that she does not accept the position now and disappoint you later. Being a bridesmaid can be very expensive, and sometimes you're not in the best financial situation...I am going to buy my bridesmaids their dresses as a gift. I'm also planning on paying for hair and makeup at a salon where we can all get it done together the morning of.

WOW thats ballsy. Ive honestly never heard of the bride payin for much than the DOJ and whatever gifts. Ive paid for everything when I was a BM.If the bride picks up an extra expense that shoud be a nice perk / surprise..not expected.

I am really shocked she asked you that. When i have been a bridesmaid i always have assumed that i have to pay for everything myself.
I am paying for my girls make up and i bought them DOJ, make up case, personalized compacts and pashmina wraps
