Yep, you heard right! I'm picking my dress up tomorrow!!! I decided not to get any alterations done where I bought my dress... I got an amazing offer from a woman my sister knows (who's been a seamstress for 28 years and did my BM dress for my FSIL's wedding) and she said she would be honored to alter my dress and do my fittings (and she's not going to charge me nearly as much as the bridal shop was charging). I'm so excited (but so nervous... what if it doesn't fit?)!!! So by noon tomorrow, by dress will have a new home! Wish me luck!!

I got my dress at David's and am NOT altering it there, either. Where is this seamstress located, if you don't mind me asking? I'm looking for someone.

she's out in Patchogue, but she doesn't really do very many side jobs (she's doing my dress out of her house)... she acutally works full time for a bridal shop (i'd rather not mention which one)... but Jenn, I might have a great place for you to take your dress, it's in Sayville. if you want, i'll look into it and get back to you.

that is so exciting !! I bought my dress at David's Bridal and had the alterations done by a woman out in Shirley - A bit far but worth it !
