This is NOT directed to ANYONE on here, it's just a general observation. I am so sick of hearing, 'I don't want anyone to wear black, red, white, etc, to my wedding'. Yes, it is your special day, but if you are more concerned with what EVERYONE else plans to wear or is wearing to your wedding, something can't be right. I don't give an eff who wears what. I'm the bride, everyone there KNOWS I'm the bride, so why does it matter. I understand that WHITE is a bit more sensitive, but I mean, c'mon!!!!

I should also add that this is JMO and this is not a thread to creat drama, start a fight or hate yelley. It's just a thought.

I compelety agree. If my guests don't realize that that I am the bride -- then they shouldn't be there hahahaha! I wan't peopl to be comfortable and happy -- what they wear is not my problem.
However I would really prefer if my Jr.Bridesmaid (who is my 10 year cousin) did not have the rubberbands on her braces match the colors of the wedding. clear will surfice -- I told my mom that when it comes time this her job to inform my aunt of this. I am such a b*tch.
I remember back when I had braces i would either get blue and green (my fav colors even then) or I'd match the holidays!! red/white/blue for 4th of july, black/orange for halloween, WHAT WAS I THINKING???

I am so with you on this one. I am so laid back that I wouldn't care.
My mom found a dress that looks stunning on her. In the store, it was in black. The only other options on it were orange and hunter green. My mom looks so good in the dress and those other colors are not so good.
Well, she was concerned because its black but I could care less.
Well, wouldnt you know it.....I said something to someone and got criticized up- down-alll-around for ' allowing' my mom to wear black.

I have to agree with you on this and am glad you brought it up. I guess that for women who 'save themselves' for marriage, who wear white, are idealistically following tradition and wearing white to symbolize purity. In many cases, this isn't so. White/Ivory is a traditional color and that's how it has been and always will be, I'm sure.
As far as people wearing white/Ivory/Diamond White etc....do you really think they will take away from you? I mean, that's just silly!
