So, after 4 years at my job, I am at a point where I have to quit...
I am so upset! I am in computer science and I don't know if I will get another job!... But, I will be quitting mine!

quiting because they are deducting our Salaries by 10%. I joined this company straight out of college! So.. they gave me a junior salary.
I am now a Senior Engineer, AND, with this DEDUCTION I will be making LESS than when getting out of college.!. Thats RIDICULOUS! I am obviously a Senior Rep getting paid like a college grad. Its hurtful, and I just can't do that. In addition, everone else with my 'title' gets paid TWICE what I get paid... I figured ENOUGH!

It sure is! Good Luck! I am an Executive Recruiter, if there is something I could help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.
It's a tough time now with holidays and days off but I will do as much as I can to help!

Re: i'm quitting my job
Have you gone to the 'higher ups' and let them know that you don't feel valued? Maybe if you told them that if they don't pay you what you deserve then you are leaving, that they would consider upping the $$?
It's worth having the conversation, if you didn't already.
Wow, that is really bad! But lots and lots of luck finding a new (and better) job!

honey I know exactly how you feel, I had to make that same decision about 2 months ago... my bossed acted like an *** and gave me no choice but to leave... I did find a new job without a problem... I wouldnt stress too much about it... believe me it will all work out for the best

I am so sorry to hear that! Seriously, I am in the same exact position and in Computer Science. I have chosen to stick it out as hard as it really truly is. But there are jobs out there. I have been on several interviews. Try CraigsList.com. Without knowing your exact area of specialty I can't really give you more specific areas or places to look but FM me if you would like some help from a fellow computer LIW date twin!

Re: i'm quitting my job
you know, i have to quit my second job, because i HATE the new manager. even though it was meant to be temporary, i thought i would stay longer. she's been there a few weeks, and i can't take anymore. and even though i know i have to leave and i've only been there a short time, i still find it hard. so i know your quitting is hard, but its for the better. and just like breaking up, there is a better job out there. one that will value you! and challenge you! one that will grow with you. so have faith and strength! i'm telling my little job tonight that i'm quitting. its stressful, but has to be done, and i'll feel better that i'm not wasting my time there.
oh and PS...life is too short!! move on!

Try out New York University they have pretty good salaries and great benefits. I love working here. Get to go to school for free and everything.
