I'm saddened

Maybe we were all a little too free with our personal information, but now everyone seems to be deleting posts and pictures.

I was wondering the same thing? I agree that you have to remember this is a public place, but I don't plan to delete any of my pictures......

I agree. Although I am still kinda new to the boards and don't have much to post yet in regards to pictures, it helps my planning tremendously to see all the beautiful things everyone else has done. It saddens me that so many of these great posts are getting deleted. Everyone has their right to privacy and should stay within their own comfort level, but posting on this board poses no more threat then buying something online (so they have your credit card number), sending your photos to a one hour photo, or even letting in the cable man to fix your tv. I love all these posts and pictures and I hope to see alot more in the future!!!

I deleted my pic from my profile b/c I don't want to be questioned by my company if anything comes up. There is this entire clause in our manual that states information on the use of the internet blah, blah, blah. A bunch of jibberish. But placing photos or downloading any photos apparently is a big no-no, which I am guilty on both counts. So to be safe, I took it out. It is still in the thread I began with my pic in it if you want to see me.

I agree. It seems a lot of us are panicing. I am not sure exactly what happened to to start all this off. I have gotten so many great ideas from everyone's pictures, and have admired how beautiful all of you ladies are especially in your wedding gowns. We plan on getting a scanner soon, and I am looking forward to posting pics from out 12/15/02 wedding. Does anyone know of anyone from here who has had any problems, or been harrassed? Maybe there are things happening we do not know of yet !!

I'm not panicking at all.
I share the information that I feel comfortable sharing and anything that I feel is too private I keep to myself.
Last I checked I had no stalkers or anything and I'm more than happy to show pictures of all my wedding planning.

Not worried at all myself. I understand what should and shouldn't be said from being a military wife.

And for anyone using a work computer just use a local library or one from home.

As for my safety, I wish I had a stalker! It would bring a little excitement into my life!

Jenny totally agree.. but not on the stalker thing. I used to work at TGIfridays in hs and College and actually had one there not fun and Nassau county ****s with what you can do about it.

Let me tell you, I had to change my real name and some of my stuff on my profile becuase a vendor had the nerve to track me down(awhile back) and made me and FH feel very insecure about posting things online. When it happens to you ,you get pretty freaked out about things. But I am starting to get some confidence back and I am just careful about what I post.

I wish the vendors that annoyed me during the planning would contact me! Ha, they would rue the day!

But seriously, there is nothing I would say here that I would say to a vendors face or to anyone for that matter.

It was just the mere fact that the vendor had the nerve to go and investigate my posts and tracked me down that way,(When they could have easily messed up the wedding) there is no privacy and that is what freaked us out. Believe me we told them what they did was not right to there faces and they knew how angry we were, And they apologized, but it is pretty freaky when they can do this.

I agree...I think its totally slimy of them to do that. I didnt mean to make light of it but I dont think we should worry too much about this stuff because our lives are not private no matter what we do!
