I'm saddened

That is kind of creepy. But beleive me I wouldn't go to ANY vendor without getting someones opinion!!! I would of asked him what he was doing on the Brides Helping Brides when he is a vendor.

I wonder how many of the ladies who are rushing to take their pictures off or delete their postings had information regarding their wedding in their local paper or Newsday. Every week Newsday has a whole page of recent weddings including pictures, full names, employers, and where the newlyweds live. That is far more info than is usually given on this website. And, with all due respect to LI Weddings, I dare say that a lot more people read Newsday every Sunday then visit this website in a month or more likely a year. In addition there are engagement and birth announcements, again usually with pictures, that give a lot of personal info. Also remember that all weddings, births, deaths, home purchases and numerous other info is all available as a matter of public record.

If someone is that determined to find out about you they will, no matter how hard you try to guard against it.

It really is sad to see the negative reaction that one incident has caused on this board. Yes we should all be careful with the information that we divulge, but it is a shame that people no longer feel comfortable sharing wedding and baby pictures. That was part of the fun of remaining a reader (and occasional poster) of this board more than a year after my wedding. Just my opinon and some food for thought. Each person must do what they feel comfortable with.

Wendy, what you said is totally valid, and I agree with you. JMO also. I LOVE this site. I feel comfortable saying what I do, and sharing what I do. If someone wants to stalk me or whatever, they will do it, and I doubt it would be from tracking me on LIWeddings
This world unfortunately is full of freaks and who knows what else, but I refuse to live in fear of it. Of course, I won't be asking for it either by posting where I work, and giving out my home address online either, LOL. I think we are all pretty sensible and know what to and what not to post.

I regard everyone here as a friend, and a confidante, so to speak, you all hear things from me firsthand, most times before my girlfriends even hear it. I won't delete any of my posts or pics. Although I could understand why someone may want to, everyone has to be comfortable with their own decisions, there is no wrong or right.
I just want us all to sleep soundly at night.
