Sorry to vent to you girls, but who else can I turn to?
As some of you know, I'm moving. Well, I gave notice at my job last week and officially resigned. My last day here will be sometime in March. Fine. Because my boss is leaving on maternity leave in two weeks, they want her to interview my replacement and because my job 'can really only be done well by you' they want me to train my replacement. Fine. But they're posting it next week, so everyone will know I'm leaving...and all the questions will start. And the hiring and training will be sometime in February. Life moves on...
I love this company...it's great (hence why I was so damn PC and gave a lot of notice). Well, it ain't so great, but it was a dream of mine since I was young. I know I'm leaving for a better life, but I can't help but feel so sad and empty.
Now, if only I could get a job in GA from here I would feel much better. LOL.
This was a rambling post so please forgive me...I'm feeling heavy hearted & melancholy.

sasha!
Oh God can I relate!
6 months ago at a going-away party I was saying to myself 'someone tell me why I have decided to leave everyone I love and the greatest city in the world to go South?!' I was so sad in moments, but it made me realize I had learned so much as a human and it was now my responsibility to take it to the next level!
Your sadness is a normal, healthy, human reaction! How great to have worked in a place where leaving makes you sad - I don't think everyone can say that. I bet you have met some amazing people and learned a tremendous amount about your field and yourself while there. Lucky you!
Change is NEVER easy. Thats why so many people are afraid of it.
I know you know and have heard all this stuff - you are a smart woman. I just wanted to tell it to you again.
You are taking a tremendous leap of FAITH and it will be rewarded...the right job is in Atlanta for you. And so are MANY other amazing things! Just hang in there.
