Wow! did you tell your FH yet? If I were in your shoes and my boss did that to me I would have quit as well! As far as any advise... If you can get by w/o looking for another job I would just put out resumes and start interviewing when you get back from your HM. If not then I would go on Monster or go to some head hunters and just tell all ppl interviewing you that you have your HM planned, most ppl will be OK with that.

Good luck and please don't stress too much!

My wedding is in 32 days Alot of DJ's send me stuff with open dates. 4 months is a good amount of time to find a new DJ and a job . Never let anyone disrespect you. He'll do it again. It's not worth it. You'll see, your better off.

I would have done the same thing. No job is worth being disrespected. I wouldn't worry about finding a new DJ because I''m sure you'll be able to. What kind of work do you do?

I would start calling DJ's now for work and to play my wedding... and lot of them are hiring especially during for the wedding season. Depending on what you're did (sales, emcee, office work) that could leverage into a different kind of job since some of those skills are always in demand.

Good luck. I think you have enough time to find someone really good.

FM curliegirl...she knows tons of people and i think can help you with the DJ. she works at In The Mix in Mineola so maybe she can check if your date is still available. HTH!

ETA: you should also put up a post on the VHB boards to see who still available on your day...

Not sure if you're looking for a company, but Variety Music did an excellent job on my wedding day!
