I'm sick with two weeks to go!

Yesterday I came down with the worst sore throat and now my glands are totally swollen. Uggghhhhhhh. This is the worst, we're rushing to get things done and I'm so exhausted.

Me too! I am sittting here feeling all medicinne heady off of DayQuil. I hate being sick. Just relax, drink liquids, & try not to stress for your big day. You will be better than new in 2 weeks!

I went to the doctor last week because I had what I thought was a sore throat but it turned out to be a sore/swollen tongue!

I had bitten an allegra pill in half the night before when I was half asleep and apparently I scratched the back of my tongue with it and some of it got in there.

I told him of my other symptoms and he said it was most likely allergies. That once all the rain we had been having stopped, I would probably feel worse before I felt better.

He was right! I had the same symptoms as you, are you sure it's not allergies? When I'm in the air conditioned office, my symptoms lessened. Apparently from the filtered air.

Regardless of what it is, I hope you take care of yourself and get better soon!

Drink hot tea with honey, this will relieve the sore throat!
oh and in case you don't like tea or honey.. i love cepecol (sp?) they numb the pain in your throat!

Good suggestions. I'm partial to green tea myself.

If the doc is up for giving you a prescription, ask for cough medicine with codeine. Not only does it coat your throat and lessen the soreness, it subdues coughing, and knocks you out so you can get a good night's sleep!

I hate sore throats, I hope you feel better soon. You could try Ricola lozenges too, they make my sore throats feel a little better.

Get rest and get to the Dr. The quicker you are on meds the quicker you will be all better

take some airborne!! i swear by the stuff! i'm a speech therapist at a school, so my hands are constantly near the kids mouths, showing them how to make the sounds right and stuff... i took airborne everyday all winter, and never go sick! so i definitely recommend it!
if it makes you feel any better,the week before my wedding, i got REALLY sick wth a rash all over, too... so it could be worse!

OMG me too!!! Only 13 more days to go and I sound like a man... my voice is totally shot!
My boss was nice enough to come into work with the flu on Friday, and now I'm paying for it.
I just got back from the doctor's... GO, even if you are unsure it will help. My doctor gave me a perscription antihistimine AND an antibiotic. He told me it's most likely viral, but that if I don't feel better in a day, start taking the antibiotics.
Go to your doctor-- it's worth the trip!
