As if the migranes I've been getting aren't enough, now I have a sore throat and I'm all congested. Luckily I had an appt with my gyno today and she said I could take Robitusson DM and chloroseptic losengers (however you spell it)...any other good home remedies other than chicken soup?

humidifiers always help clear my congestion.

Talk to your Dr.... I was sick from the say i fouind out i was pregnanat.. i actually took Zythromax when i was pregnant... it is safe even for children... i also took it after Jillian was born because i got really sick... Like I said it all depends.. i lived for my tylonel.. because it is the only thing you can take besides red sudafed..
Edited to add.. make sure she said robitussin regular not the DM...there is difference....]

I was also give antibiotics when I was sick, so see how you feel, but don't let yourself suffer too much. There are things you can be given that are safe for you and baby. Feel better!!!

I dont know about vicks. I had a cold and never put it on myself only sniffed it every once in a while. Check with your doc before using any of that.

Nope she said DM...I even had the pharmasist double check. I'm trying not to take it to much but I feel like i am dying

I was allowed to use Vicks and Sudafed when I got my pregnancy cold.
Drink lots of fluids and rest. Feel better.

Last night I had a slight fever with the chills and maybe slept for about an hour. Today I still feel pretty crappy but my mom is coming over latter to bring me soup and to help me clean up a little. I know....I'm such a baby. My DH was like 'i can't believe you have to have your mommy come over to be with you...I ca only imagine what you will be like in a few months!' Little does he know that I plan to buy a bell and ring it every time I want something

I hope you are feeling better....I stopped taking the robitussion because it didn't do anything for me...i wonder if I should pick up some sudafed....What kind did you get? Is it helping? I have to call my DR. back tomorrow to find out the results of my throat culture.

Did you ask your doc about sudafed? I asked my doc what I should take and she asked me how far along I was before she recommended sudafed. Hope you feel better soon!

when i was sick, my doctor would not let me take anything, so I suffered for a week.

My Dr. said only the plain sudafed, so that's what I got. I checked with the pharmacist at CVS. So far, the only thing it's really done is helped with nasal congestion. My head feels like it's going to explode. I got a terrible sleep last night, but hopefully tonight will be better.
I think it's cute that you had your mom come over. I probably would have asked mine to if she wasn't working
