I'm sitting here coloring my hair ...

for the second time in about twelve hours!

Used some Preference for Brunettes crud last night and all I can say is ...

Let's hope when I rinse what I'm doing now, it's down to only about three different colors none of which are shiny, brassy yellowy orange!

I hate hair color. I haven't colored my hair in about 6 years. My brown is okay with me.

If my hair was only brown and not that of a graying 37 year old, I *may* be able to deal. Except for the fact that I have been coloring my hair since I was 14 or so ...

I'm sure you look just like Andy McDowell sitting there on the edge of your tub with your bod and your head wrapped in brand new fluffy hotel white towels!!!!

Why would anyone use a white towel when dying their hair????

You must go gray gracefully. Let the silver ribbons flow down your back

that's why I leave it to the professionals. Last time I did that I got hair color all over my bathroom! I'm a mess!

I did that a few times, double processed. My head looked like a bowl of fruit salad, all sorts of chucks of color.

Wendy, how's it looking today?

Yeah - I did my own for awhile, but it looked like crap after awhile. I leave it to the professionals too - costly and high-maintenance, but I think everyone looks better with a little brightening here and there.

Well, I just rinsed out today's color and it's a bit dark (I guess I was a litlte preoccupied on here ) but I like the color although it's a little uneven (which was inevitable from the way it looked earlier this morning )

I was going to try that Preference for Brunettes stuff too. That's too bad it didn't work for you.

I used to be a hair color addict, but it's been a while. I had this weird thing about being natural for my wedding.

I am glad you have recovered!

What did you use to fix it.

What did you use to fix it.

Herbal Essences? (which I've never used before but it actually smelled good and the conditioner was kick-arse!)

just as an fYI - in the future if you just want to color the grays try the Clairol root stuff. I just used it and was very happy with it. It def. is good if you're between color jobs

Feria has a nice scent to it if you ever plan on coloring your hair on your own again.

i use it to cover up my over-abundance of gray hair......
