oh, thats so horrible..... and so sad, and even more sad that there is a special cemetery for babies who died this way

It's absolutely disgusting, his life could easily have been spared if he'd been dropped off at a hospital...

As I said on LIF, I am disgusted by this.. There are so many women in the world that are struggling to have or can't have children.

How aweful...it breaks my heart there are so many ppl out there that cannot have children....on top of which all you have to do if you don't want your baby is leave it at a hospital, fire station, or police station no questions asked so why put a baby in the trash????

I couldn't read it. I've heard too may of theses nightmare stories. What really pisses me off is that we now have safe houses you can drop off any infant no questions asked.

It's a very very sad and tragic end for an infant. It does however highlight the fact that the safe haven laws aren't advertised enough. Obviously this infant's mother didn't know she could just drop off the baby at a hospital or police station without any negative consequences.

ny has a 'safe zone' - or whatever its called where they can drop off a baby no questions asked - but these animals chose to leave this baby to die!

MURDERS!!

see - i disagree.

i have never been in such a desperate situation - thank god - so i dont know what this mother was thinking - but for me to know about it and i am not in a desperate situation i dont think they are not advertised enough.

i think this mother was a dumazz and chose this for her child. the information is out there if she looked for it. she chose not too.

Sorry, but you don't need advertisement to know the difference between right & wrong. This is just heartless, no matter what the situation is. There is no excuse for this....imo.

I am going to have to agree with Darlene. I work in a placement where there are young ladies who are incapable of knowing right from wrong. Nobody knows who the mother is. Nobody knows if she has 100% of her normal cognitive functioning or if she was a cold-blooded killer. Trust me, there ARE many young women (children and adults) who are limited with their faculties and may not know what to do. People often have horrible lapses in judgement. I think this was more than likely the case - JMO.

Yes, it is one of the most horrific things to read about or witness and i certainly would not expect anyone to understand what would prompt a person to do this, but sadly, it can and does happen repeatedly. Nobody in their right mind would do this, so why should we assume that a person with a normal intelligence would?
