I'm so annoyed!

I'm so annoyed!

I always thought that Miss. was for anyone unmarried and Ms. was for married or single. Well, I just found out that's not true and I approved our invites with my name as Miss on the response envelope. I think it is too late to change. Ugghhh! Of course, FH says no one will notice, but I will and I will obsess about it.

I dont think Miss is wrong though. I'm sure nobody will notice. Try not to worry. I'm sure they are beautiful. Goodnight! :)

Miss. is for if you are single and under 18...I'm 27!!
I assumed it was correct because that is actually what the woman at the store put down. I figured since I thought it and she wrote it, it had to be right!

Oh No... That's not good.
I'm 34 and I have 'Miss' on the response card that are coming back to me.
I just told FH, he said 'who cares no one will notice.' I hope he's right.
I can't reprint them.
My stomach is sick..:

I wouldn't stress, I think miss is fine.

Actually - Ms. was created, not for a specific age group but for women who felt that their title shouldn't be specific to her marital status. The title Mr. is for both married and unmarried men and women felt that they should have the same option.

So you shouldn't worry about being termed as a Miss at 27 - because actually you are!

Ive said this before in other posts and I'll say it again. I am 35 years old and I am a MISS. I prefer MISS over MS regardless of what societal rules dictate.

My response cards say Miss- as well as a lot of other people I know.. I am 29.. really- there will be other things to stress over.. this should not one of them.

I always thought 'Miss' meant single....and 'Ms.' meant rather not say (could be single/ or married). Never knew age had anything to do with it.

I put Miss. for all unmarried ladies except FH aunt who is in her 80s and never married. She is a Ms. Stop stressing girls.

What is wrong with using Miss? I don't see any issue with it..

Honestly, I don't think anybody will notice. I'm sure I wouldn't notice something like that and I'm usually the type of person that does. Miss is fine.

That's exactly right. I still remember when woman started using the term Ms. It didn't always exist and at 37 I still called myself Miss.

Miss is fine.

They're ususally used intechangeable, just like no one uses 'master' for children anymore...NO WORRIES!

I always thought that you are a Miss until you get married - then become a Mrs - then (hopefully not for any of us) become divorced, you become a Ms.

I'm 33 and I'm a Miss on my RSVP cards
