I'm so annoyed, I need advice

Long story, but this girl kept asking me questions about my wedding. All the details.

She turns around and she bought the same exact Monique Lhuillier dress I wanted when I told her I wanted a lace dress from Monique because she is filipino and so am I, which makes it special.

Am I overreacting?

Not in my opinion, no... That's disgusting. Lesson learned - she will not hear another word about your wedding!!!

no you're not overreacting- its a little 'single white female' (remember that movie).

i agree with everyone else- i wouldnt tell her anything!

ETA- i just noticed where you are getting married- my cousin got married there last august- it was amazing!

well you could look at it 2 different ways:

1 - you could be honored that you have such good taste and good ideas that someone would want to be just like you

or

2 - she's just a psycho stalker, who needs her wedding dress turned into a straight jacket

you take your pick!

Is it someone from here or somone you know?

I wouldnt worry unless you know her, have common wedding guests and her wedding is before yours.

It is strange to 'copy' certain things from someones wedding. I always thought people wanted to be unique.

Just stay tight lipped about any other wedding ideas you have...or tell her some crazy stuff and see if she copies that...lol

hmmm...
I can totally understand why you're upset.

But at the same time, a friend and I are now basically having the same wedding b/c we have so much in common and like the same things.

we could both be really upset about it... or we could do what we're doing and embrace it and take it as a compliment that someone else likes our ideas so much.

if you are uncomfortable with it, definitely don't tell her any more details.

best way to get rid of questions you don't want to answer is to ignore it and pretend it was never asked ... (read that in a book somewhere) so if she asks about your menu tell her about your weekend .. or work day HTH .. good luck

You should actually tell her that you found another dress you love and see if she returns hers...lol And if she asks just tell her stuff that your not doing...make up stuff. If she asks about colors give her colors your not using. Just to see what she does and you can have fun with it to get back at her!
