I'm so frustrated with dresses! (vent)

So I have only gone looking for dresses about 4 times now. My fh lives in NJ so every weekend that I actually get to see him, we cram in all of the appointments we can. So this weekend he was going to a baseball game and I had been planning for weeks to dress shopping with my mom. Well I feel like every time I go and look I get even more confused! My mom never seems to like the ones I like as much as I do.. and I just feel like I'm NEVER going to find a dress I LOVE! I'm so disappointed and confused and just annoyed at my mom for being over opinionated and telling people what she wants when they are asking me! I'm afraid that I'm going to run out of time and not find a dress I love! Next month every weekend is booked with engagement parties for friends and precanna and helping my sister move and all this other stuff that I didn't even plan. I thought planning a wedding was going to be fun! :(

I just don't want to deal with any of this anymore.

I am sort of in the same boat. I still do not have mine and have tried on over 50.

Have you tried going alone? I LOVED it. I left work an hour early for a couple of days and got in alot of good dress time with only my opinion as a barometer.

Do yourself a favor. Go ALONE ! OR take a friend with you. - Leave you mom at home until you find THE dress. - Then, take her back to see it, act like you really want her opinion, listen to her criticism, and then DO WHAT YOU WANT !!!
DO NOT Do Not Do NOT go with something you don't love to please your mother. - you will regret it forever !

Thanks for the help! :) I'm glad to hear that others have had these problems also and I'm not alone. I'm considering going alone. I do really want my mom's opinion, but I want her to listen to me also. Although I look young I'm not 12 and I'm tired of being treated like I am!
