I'm so lucky to be marrying my FI!!!
My FI is the sweestest, most caring man you will ever meet. I love him so much that with each day that goes by I love him more and more. He is always concerned with making other people happy and will give you the shirt off his back if you need it. I can't being to till you all how excited I am.
Well we spent Chrismas Eve with my side of the family and Chistmas Day with his side of the family. On my side of the family we open gifts on Christmas Day at exactly mid-night. Anyways, everyone close to me knew what my FI had gotten me and told me I was going to flip out. FI hinted to me that one of the three gifts he got is something we can both use. The only thing that I thought it could possibly be was maybe a down payment on a house. But, I didn't think he would do something like that w/o me. O.k., so then I thought it has to be jewlery and that maybe he was trying to lead me in another direction. Every year, whether it's X-mas, my birthday, our anniversay, or etc. he always gives me a piece of jewlery along with other things. O.k., so I open my gift and he got me a jacket, a bath and body works gift set. Then he gives me another box and I open it and inside is a huge box of Rochelle Chocolate's. Besides the chocolate's-wrapped inside the box w/ wrapping paper was something that felt like a booklet.
So I rip it open and GUESS WHAT- two days after our e-party in May, he booked a week long trip to Riveria Maya in Mexico. The hotel he booked is the best one located there and it's all inclusive, except for massages. The resort looks breath taking and it has soooo many things to do. Also, no one 18 or under is allowed at this resort. He told me that since I've never gone anywhere and that since this year I've been through so much, he felt that I deserved to get away. He is so great. I know that the money he spent on this trip he could have put towards himself, but he didn't.
Plus, earlier on Christmas Eve. he was driving after picking up some pastries and saw an elderly lady w/ several bags walking. Do you know what he did? He pulled over and asked her if she wanted a ride. Obviously, the woman was a bit hesitant, but eventually she got in the car and was so happy that he offered to stop and drive her home. She tried to give him money- but he didn't take it. Why do I love this man? Because he is genuine, caring, makes me smile and makes this world a better place every day. And he is so much more than that- that it would take a lifetime to write what this man is and what he means to me.![]()
