I am so Long Island impaired. I'm looking at houses on line and I don't even know where the heck they are. Where is BELLMORE for example? I'm not even sure I've ever heard of it.

Bellmore is in Nassau county, South Shore, I believe.

That is by me 2 town's before me & I know you know where massapequa is. Move there and then you can come and visit me all the time!

That is by me 2 town's before me & I know you know where massapequa is. Move there and then you can come and visit me all the time!

Bellmore is near the Wantagh Parkway...near Massapequa which is on the border of NAssau Suffolk, south shore...go south enough, parts of Bellmore are on the water...I believe Bellmore is also home to Mepham High School where that terrible hazing incident happened

if you want to stay closer to the city, it is going to be pricey. Like some of the 5 towns, or Long Beach, or Great Neck, Manhasset, etc.
Just move to NJ

I feel like you most days... I live in Westchester and I have NO CLUE about Long Island when we look at real estate. All I know is where FH's family lives (which is East Northport .. near Huntington, Commack, etc.) But certainly don't ask me how to get there! LOL

Don't feel bad, I am just starting to travel the island and I have no clue that some of these towns existed! Like Salisbury(sp?).

Yeah, I am cluless too. I grew up there, but when i see where wedding related places are , some times I am have no clue. i didn't knwo where roslyn was still recenly. I think I knew it was Nassau but that was it.
I always get Belport & Belmore confused. I wouldn't knwp suffolk at all except I ahve college friends from Farmingville, & smithtown.
Oh yeah, Holtsville & Holbrook I get mixed up too.
