I'm so undecided about my hair...please help.

My dress is pretty formal, and I have a 2-tiered fingertip length veil with some puffiness on the top.

I NEVER EVER EVER wear my hair up. When I was younger, my Dad told me that my face/head looked really big with my hair up, so I haven't worn it up since.

I either wear my hair all down, or like this:



Honestly, I feel like my dress calls for an updo. I plan on keeping my veil on all night.

a hair trial I had - I don't think this style is going to work. There is just too much hair around my face/shoulders to work with my dress. (THIS IS NOT MY VEIL - it was the hairdressers, for trial purposes only.)



Another style that I like, but I'm not sure of...



I'm really open to some honest opinions - you girls understand that every bride wants to be beautiful and comfortable, but elegant at the same time. If you have any pics of suggestions, PLEASE send them this way!!!

gotta be honest Nic, that hair trial you just postd....i'm not feeling that at all. i agree you should try a style with your hair up

when you do an updo, it can help elongate your neck/throat area, giving a more elegant feel. that other hair style you posted, i think it would work for you.

i say go for a trial with the 2nd hair style....your dad might be wrong on this one!

First of all..YAY Rosemary Leigh..I was SO close to wearing that dress myself!! Are you wearing the sleeves?

Yes, I'm absolutely wearing the sleeves! I love that dress!!!!

try both a low bun like in that pic...and a higher one! i'm sure the stylist can do both for you to look at...and take lots of pics of each one and see if they work. i really think that style will look gorgeous on you with that dress!

Go for a second hair trial and get an updo done. That's is the only way your going to tell if you like it on you and if you feel comfortable.

I think you would look beautiful with your hair all up. You have beautiful eyes and I think having your hair all up would look gorgeous on you. You would show your eyes off!!!!

Oh and by the way I went for three hair trials only because I wasn't sure and I wanted to feel comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day.

I went for a half up/half down trial and two updos and I ended up going with my gut. The whole time leading up to my wedding I kept saying to myself and everyone I just want a really low big bun and in the end that's what I did and I was so happy.

And I hear you on the 3 trials - I've had 2 already!!!!

I also think half up/half down is a great solution. I think you need to feel comfortable on that day and I never wear my hair up and don't really like it up, so I sure as heck wasn't gonna wear it up on my wedding day and not feel like myself.

but it also sounds like you recognize that updo may looks best with your dress, i suggest doing a trial updo and seeing what you think b/n that and half up!

ohh thanks for posting that pic! I love it!! Nic I think your hair would look really pretty like this pull back in the front

Try an updo, at least you'll know what it will look like instead of imagining it, I think the up do's you chose are beautiful!

I really like the picture that you posted of the big low bun in your original post. I think that would look really great on you.

Lushy..I am not the biggest fan of the pic with your hair down. I think you could still pull it off..whether it be down or half up half down, but a different style.

I think you should also try a low do....
